I have a small 2 acre pond that has a dam on one end. It is about 12′ high and about 10′ wide. Recently my pond started leaking. I can see the water coming out of the bottom of the dam and going into the creek. How can I stop this leak? It isn’t a huge amount of water but it’s enough to drop the level in the pond about 1″ every 3-4 days (which adds up!) It’s driving me crazy and I think my pond may dry up and I will loose all my fish. Thanks very much.

The water in my pond is balanced. The ammonia, nitrates, ph level ETC are all where they should be. I won’t use spring water, either. It’s no better than tap.
Yes, setting up an aquarium successfully is a good feeling, but I have done so for 5 20 gallons, 2 50 gallons, 2 75 gallons, and 5 10 gallons. After awhile it loses it’s touch.

Yes, I am going it put goldfish in it. I don’t have any in the house yet and I would love to.

Is there anything I should do to prepare the fish for the switch from aquarium to pond? I’ve had them since dec. of 07. Oh and suggestions for travel with them is good too.
