stardust12081 asked: Hello. I purchased a 7,500 gallon filter on Aug. 9th. The ebay ad was for a 7500 filter, uv, and pump nib. I received my filter yesterday and when I read the information on the box, it is the wrong filter (SunSun CPF-250). This filter can only handle a 2,905 gallon pond. Also, the pump I bought was supposed to be 2,200 g/h. The one I received had no box, no model number and no other identifying information so I don’t know if it is the correct one or not. When I contacted the seller about the mistake, he told me that the one he gave me (2,905 gallons) was the correct one and that a warehouse had made the internal parts thicker and added a quartz sleeve to the uv light so it could be able to handle 7,500 gallons. There is no indication that these changes were made (Box is unopened and has no peeled tape or previous tape, the packaging, paperwork, and manufacturer all say that it is for ponds up to 2,905 gallons). The only thing indicating that this is the correct filter for a 7,500 gallon pond is him telling me it is. Is it possible to increase a filter’s cleaning capacity by 3600 gallons by making the internals thicker and adding a quartz sleeve to the uv light? This sounds like a scam to me……
